Justus Cove Falls is a nice waterfall very close to US276 and easily reached by a trail. It is not difficult. Best of all, it is not widely known about. It’s been on FB so I have no problem putting directions here since 50 different posts include the parking and waterfall GPS. Although not an official trail, it is obvious enough where to go.

Trailhead Directions: From the intersection of US64/NC280/US276 take US276 North into Pisgah Forest for 8.7 miles to a pullout on the right side (Northbound side) of US276 and park here (35.32261 -82.79087).

The Hike: Possibly the most dangerous part of the hike is crossing US276 to get to the trail into the woods. The trail is pretty flat and there are only a few fallen trees to crawl over to reach the falls. The one way hike is 0.2 of a mile and rates as Easy+. On my visit my total moving time was 13 minutes.

The falls is around twenty feet high and was recently cleared of most of the downfall.
