Harper Creek Falls is a 50 foot high waterfall with a large pool at the base and accessed via a moderate hike of 1.5 miles each way. The hike starts on FR1328 at this point 35.97752, -81.76636. The hike follows the Harper Creek Trail. At 1.3 miles the trail forks. The Harper Creek Trail heads to the right, but the trail to the falls goes to the left. In 0.2 of a mile, the trail will end at a steep scramble down to the base of the falls. The area was badly eroded on my last visit, and the footing was treacherous. This one is pretty popular in the summer becasue of the swimming hole.
