Transyvania Falls is a 10 foot high waterfall on Rockhouse Creek between Middle Rockhouse Creek Falls and Lower Rockhouse Creek Falls. You can come at this one from nunmerous approaches, but I’ll tell you how I went and you can figure out if its work the effort. Most will say it is NOT. For a point of reference, Transylvania Falls is just upstream of where Slick Rock Creek enters Rockhouse Creek.

If you’re coming from FR475, follow FR475B 1.3 miles, passing the parking for Slick Rock Falls. There is a wide area that looks down into the old campsite at the base of Middle Rockhouse Creek Falls.

To reach the falls, walk about 0.1 of a mile back toward Slick Rock Falls and look for the safest place to bushwhack down the side of the mountain. It is extremely steep, and you need to pick the right route. It’s not far to reach the creek, but there are enough smal cliffs to make it dangerous. While I have not done it this way, a friend came downstream from Middle Rockhouse Creek Falls and said it wasn’t too difficult. If you look on a map, you will see this option.
