Where to park: The trailhead parking is the same as Case Falls at the end of Gallimore Rd. GPS 35.29003, -82.35972.

The hike: The hike starts by following the Narrows Put-In Trail, which is going to parallel the creek for a short time before turning to the right and descending more steeply toward the river. The Put-In Trail ends at the river after 0.7, but there is an overgrown road that will continue downstream. It is very hard to follow at times, and extremely overgrown. The river will pull away from the trail about 0.3 of a mile later. Our route turned to the right and climbed, loosely mirroring the river that was now far below. We came to the creek upstream of where an unnamed trib joins Mill Creek. The last piece of our hike was in the trib which led to the base of the falls. These directions will get you close, but it’s going to take some doing to plot your best route. When we left, we went downstream on Mill Creek and found a different ay back up that didn’t involve the tributary. Regardless of which way you hike it, the going will be very slow. As for the condition of the old road we followed along the river, it’s hard to say how much it’s been changed by Helene.
