Cover Falls is on private property and I had no idea it existed until we stopped at where we believed we might have access. Not so much. This one was an Anna special. When we pulled up on our scouting run and saw that the access was behind someone’s house, I was about to call it. I didn’t even get the X-Terra into reverse before Anna motioned to the driveway. Anna spotted the guy cutitng his grass and walked down the driveway to strike up a conversation. Two minutes later he directed me to park in his driveway behind his truck. He said we were more than welcome to check out the falls. He also gave a word of warning that we weren’t going to see much. This was the truth. The scwack in was steep and littered with briers. We went way up toward the top and saw bupkiss. We headed lower and at least saw water falling. About the only thing I came away with was a few pictures of the bottom drop of a nearly 80 foot high waterfall. Of course, it’s twelve feet of private waterfall I wouldn’t have seen without my friend asking permission.
