Where to park: There is a place to park on the southbound side of US178 at GPS 35.03266, -82.80409.
The hike: This is not the most direct route to this waterfall, but it is if you want to stay on public land. The intent of this hike had been to check out Camp McCall Falls, but the route we took led us past this unnamed waterfall on Reedy Cove Creek. The hike varied between manageable and thick as crap. Head down the bank in a southeasterly direction on the remains of an old road as if you were off to Mandible Falls. The road will peter out almost immediately, but just stay on the same heading until reaching the creek and use that as a guide to steer you lower. The woods are open up here, but they will soon close in as the hike gets lower in the valley. get you to the falls. It isn’t until the trib meets Reedy Cove Creek that the going gets really slow.

The hike shifts to following Reedy Cove Creek downstream. There are several nice cascades on this part of the creek, and after passing those, there is this unnamed waterfall that is pictured below. Since you’re all the way down here, it’s another 0.25 of a mile of bushwhacking to get a look at Camp McCall Falls. The GPS position I used for Camp McCall Falls is where we stopped, leaving us on public land.
