Where to park: Parking for Corbin Creek Falls is the same as Whitewater Falls. This is on NC281, nine miles south of US64. There is a fee area. The GPS for the parking area is: 35.02959, -83.01631.

The hike: From the parking lot, follow the path and the crowds toward the overlook for Whitewater Falls. The stroll to the overlook is less than a quarter mile. Take in the view then look to the right at the staircase heading down to the viewing deck. Go down the steps past the deck and the trail will come to a T with the Foothills Trail. Make a left and hike down a series of switchbacks that will get you down to river level An iron bridge will get you across the Whitewater River. This is around 0.9 miles from the parking lot. Continue on the Foothills Trail as it heads downstream next to the river. The first side creek you come to is Corbin Creek. Continue past is a short distance and take the obvious path on the left to get closer to the falls. You’re not going to see all of it unless you plan on climbing the side of the mountain.

I have only explored three or four of the drops, but there is much more to see.
