Technically Bear Den Falls is roadside, but the view from the overlook is of the top. YOu can get to the base, but it requires swinging wide on river left and making your way down to the trail that comes up to the falls from the campground. It is nothing but cliffs close to the falls. I enter the wood about here 35.90426, -81.96699 and go perpendiculr to the parkway until I can find a place to descend to the trail, which I then follow back to the falls. This one needs water or it might be dry.
