Upper Raines Mill Falls is the uperrmost of three waterfalls on Fall Creek in upstate SC. The hike is about 0.6 of a mile with most of it on a trail and the last little bit walking up the creek to take in each of the drops.

The TH is on Fall Creek Road at this point: 34.81754, -83.2457. There is a gates road right there that leads to Raines Mill.

The hike. Follow the old road past the gate to the mill. The hike is 0.3 of a mile. Circle around the mill and enter the creek downstream of the structure. You can see Lower Raines Mill Falls from this spot. To get to Middle Raines Mill Falls, I followed the creek upstream, climbing the lower falls. The Middle Raines Mill Falls was my least favorite of the three, and like the lower one, I climbed this one to get to the upper, which was the nicest. There is a trail you can follow but the creek was easy to follow and much nicer on a hot day. You can take the trail back to the mill then follow the road back to where you parked.
