Gragg Prong Falls is one of three waterfalls along this section of Gragg Prong. All three are accesed from the Lost Cove Trail which I picked up from Roseboro Road at this point 36.03154, -81.8032. Follow the Lost Cove Trail downstream from Roseboro Road. I went to Gragg Prong Falls first and hit the middle and upper on the way back. That’s up to you. At 1.6 miles, there was an obvious place to leave the Lost Cove Trail that led to a decent view of the waterfall. You can go down the sloped roack as far as you want, but use your best judgment. It is steep in places. Since you’re here, you will want to visit the other two drops. On your way back to your car, Middle Gragg Prong Falls is 0.3 upstream of Gragg Prong Falls. The short path to the falls is obvious and provides a great view from the exposed rock. Upper Gragg Prong Falls is 0.6 upsteam of Middle. There is a spur path to it at around 36.02545, -81.79692. These three falls make for a nice outing and if you’re here, you will want to do all three. If I had to miss one, it would be Gragg Prong Falls. I prefer the Middle and Upper Falls, but if I’m drving way over this way, I’m doing all 3!
