Phillips Branch Falls is a 45-50 foot high waterfall about half a mile from FR1328. I parked here 35.97281, -81.76552. Walk across the bridge over Harper Creek on FR1328 and once across, look for a trail on the right that goes up the bank. This is the start of the Phillips Branch Trail. The trail wasn’t in the greatest shape back in 2019 when I did the hike, but overall, it’s not a killer. It is 0.55 of a mile to the falls and it only gains about 200 feet of elevation. There is a decent view of the falls from the trail, and a nice view if you want to bushwhack down to the base. I was hear under dreadful photographic conditions and haven’t been back this way since. Good water, bad lighting.
