So if you’ve just climbed from Dome Falls and nothing is broken too badly, you have just reached the point in the logging road extraction where the road makes a right and climbs steeply up the mountain. Across the valley you can see Spicoli Falls and you want to take a closer look. Lets go. Continue past the switchback and head down the grade on another old road. This one will hug the edge of the drainage as it goes to the right and swings bacl to the left at the creek. Head up the river left side of the creek following the easiest route. Close to the road it is relatively open but as you get closer to the falls the rhodos thicken and the route steepens. It never gets too hard and very quickly you will reach the lower slide portion of the falls. Angle right and head up the side of the creek for maybe twenty feet and this will drop you on the side of the creek at the base of the main drop.

This is Spicoli Falls, named in the spur of the moment as we were approaching. On the hike up from Dome Justin and I had been quoting Jeff Spicoli from the 80’s movie Fast Times at Rigemont High. When he asked what should we name it, the first thing out of my mouth was Spicoli Falls. Thus it was named.
