From Highlands where Main Street, US64 and NC28 come together, take US64 West away from Cashiers. Follow US64 for 13.6 miles and make a right onto Ellijay Road. If you coming from Franklin, take US64 East for three miles starting at the intersection of US64, NC28 and US441 and make a left onto Ellijay Road. Follow the meandering Ellijay Road for 5.3 miles to the waterfall on the left. There is a pullout on the left side of the road but it was soggy and rutted on my visit. I parked up the hill on the right at a wide grassy area and walked back down to the falls.
