From the pull-out for Lower Cold Branch Falls, resuming driving up FR81F for another quarter of a mile to a wide area on the left. With the leaves off I was able to see the falls as I was driving but in the summer this might not be the case. The easiest way to figure it out is to roll down the windows, turn off the radio and listen for the falls. As with Lower Cold Branch Falls, there is no trail down to the upper falls and the bank is even steeper, so if the lower falls was hard, this one might not be for you.
