Sillers Falls is basically a roadside waterfall just outside of Tryon along the Vaughn River Greenway. The falls is only about six feet high but it does span the river and on my stop it has a ton of water. Sadly, the falls is roadside and it seems that most everyone passing on the road feels the need to toss their trash out the window at the falls. There were beer cans, styrofoam cups and even a silverware tray scattered around the falls.
As for driving to the trailhead, coming from Greenville take take exit 1 off I-26 (Landrum) and make a left, passing back over the freeway. Stay on Landrum Road for 2.0 miles and make a right onto US-176 (North Howard Ave). In 1.6 miles turn right on Greenwood Road and make an almost immediate right onto Blockhouse Road. Take this for just over make a mile until it turns into Hunting Country Road. This will turn into New Market Road. There is a picnic pavilion right along the creek where I parked and walked up the river right side of the creek.
You can also walk down to the bridge over the creek and walk the dirt road up the other side to get a different vantage. I liked the angle from the river left vantage but it really made it hard to crop out the trash on the hillside. I can easily count seven SEVEN styrofoam cups on the hillside. Idiots!
