Little Bearwallow Falls is a 100+ foot high waterfall in the Florence Nature Preserve in the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge. The hike is just over a mile each way, but with an elevation gain of more than 700 feet from the creek crossing to the base of the falls. The creek is a tributary of Hickory Nut Creek, and it is extremely low flow, so bear this in mind before you visit. In dry times the falls will look like a big wet rock. My fall visit came after four days of rain and the flow was just above meager.
