Upper Abbs Creek Falls is a roadside waterfall on Brasstown Road. The upper section is a high sloping falls where only the brink is visible from the roadway. On this one I wasnt able to get any pictures due to the orientation of the falls and the roadside view. Like the Lower Falls I have to do more research on this one to see what the access options are.

To get to the trailhead from US74, exit the Great Smoky Mountains Expressway at Exit 85 and make a slight left onto Beta Circle Rd/Steeple Rd. Follow Beta Circle Road and make an almost immediate left onto Cope Creek Road. Remain on Cope Creek Road for 2.3 miles until it dead-ends into NC107 just North of Western Carolina University. Take NC107 South for 8.4 miles and make a left onto Caney Fork Road. For most of the falls in this area, Caney Fork Road will get you to the trailhead. At 1.9 miles you will pass the turn for Moses Creek Falls. At 6.4 miles from NC107 you will come to Brasstown Road on the left. Turn here and follow this 1.6 miles to the pullout for Upper Abbs Creek Falls. The exact place is hard to figure out but if you put your windows down and turn off the radio the sound of falling water will guide you to the place. You can tell where other people have been pulling over to look.
