Pounding Mill Falls is a roadside waterfall in Rosman less than 2 miles from Eastatoe Falls heading south on NC178. The waterfall is only about 10-12 feet tall but if you’re in the area, it’s a roadside waterfall you can stop and visit without any undue effort. If you’re coming from Eastatoe Falls, head south on NC178 for 1.4 miles to a wide pullout on the left where Babb Road intersects on the right. If you park here and walk back down the road a short distance you will see the falls on the left. It is close to the road but you can get a decent look from the bank or by walking up the creek. On my visit some kind soul had mowed the tall grass, allowing for a better view.
