Diamond Creek Falls is a roadside waterfall in Balsom Grove located about a mile and a half off of NC215 North of US 64. The waterfall looks very nice from the side of the road but there is no way to get down to the base that doesn’t involve trespassing. To reach the roadside view, turn onto NC215 from US64 heading toward the Blue Ridge Parkway. At 0.8 of a mile the unpaved SR1322 comes in on the left. Turn here and follow this for 1.4 miles to the pullout at the top of the falls. Along the way you will have a creek crossing at about 0.6 of a mile. In my Xterra this was no issue. The view from the road isn’t great but it’s better than some.
