The first waterfall on the Pinnacle Mountain Trail as you ascend toward Bald Overlook and eventually the summit of Pinnacle Mountain is located less than a tenth of a mile from the information kiosk at the trailhead across from the main parking area. If you entered through the West Gate into Table Rock State Park, the parking area is on the right. Before hiking, all hikers are required to check in at the kiosk and detail the route they are going to take. My hike with several friends was on the Pinnacle Mountain Trail exclusively, an 8.4 mile round trip hike with around 1300 feet of elevation gain from the kiosk to the summit.

This first waterfall was a popular place when we passed with children swimming in the pool below the falls and numerous people sitting on the deck. If you’re going to photograph this one, you might want to do so early in the day. I made the mistake of taking my pictures in the way back. Once you’re done at the first waterfall, resume following the paved path toward the actual trail. Waterfall #2 on the Pinnacle Mountain Trail.
