After Upper Brasstown Falls the trail is going to get increasingly narrow as it leads to a very steep scramble as it heads downstream. This section of the trail is extremely narrow and most of it are roots with a steep vertical drop to the creek side. You do not want to fall from here as the trail passes the top of the falls and leads downstream. The scramble is steep and unforgiving as you make your way over a sloped section of rock below the freefall. One miss-step here is going to present a problem but once you’re onto the flat rock below the falls you’re only problem will be the spray coming off the 18 foot high freefall. After this, climb back to the trail, which is little more than a foot wide band of roots and head downstream to reach Lower Brasstown Falls.
