See Auger Fork Falls for hike details. Once you get to the base of both falls, look for the scramble path on river left leading up to the middle section of Maple Springs Branch Falls. It’s not too hard to get up there and the view is great. There is no way to get a good pic from the base. Maple Springs Branch is low volume so the base is cluttered with logs and sticks. Some of them have been there for a while. My guess is unless someone removes them, they’re going to be there for a while. You can shoot around them if need be or just have them in the foreground. The same kid-friendly rating applies here as to Auger Fork Falls. You can shoot from behind the fallen tree or go under it and shoot from the flat rock above the lower drop. Just watch your step. The rockface is amazing and the way it’s pitted and rutted makes the water shift and turn. This one probably looks better in low water because of the intricate detail in the rock.
