The Waterfall on Tributary #1 of the Toxaway River is one of two smaller waterfalls you will pass on the way to Raven Rock Falls. This 30 foot high waterfall is unnamed and mostly unmentioned. It’s funny that I’ve seen much smaller waterfalls named and referenced but this one is simply something you have to walk past to get to Raven Rock Falls. Here are several shots of this first waterfall. For directions to this waterfall, refer to the Raven Rock Falls page. To photograph this waterfall you have two choices, both of which will require a wide angle lens. You can shoot from directly in front of the falls or you can climb up on the left side and shoot. If you elect to shoot from the front you will be standing in the creek above a roughly 8 to 10 foot drop so use caution. There is enough room to set up a tripod but barely so.
