Where to park: Parking is roadside on Rich Mountain Road at the trailhead for the Wilkie Trail. The GPS location is: 35.17285, -82.66438.
The hike: The hike leaves from the upper end of the pullout, on a mostly level path. It does climb a little, but the overall grade is negligible. The path that leads down to the falls is past the falls, so you’ll hear the falls before you see the path, which requires a sharp right. The path heads down to the creek, with only a large tree to climb over before reaching the base of the falls. Not a huge drop, but nice enough.
