Where to park: Parking is at the Cove Creek TH on FR475. As of 2/22/2026, this is as far as you can go on FR475 due to ongoing road work. The GPS location is: 35.28265, -82.81673.
The hike: The hike leaves on the Davidson River Trail, which almost immediately bends to the left. At the outside of the bend, a narrower trail heads right and leads to a campfire ring. Walk past the ring to the second steep scramble path leading down to the river, where a large boulder slopes into the river. Head upstream from here to the base of the falls. It’s a cool spot, but not much of a waterfall.
