Where to park: Parking is at Bell Park, which is on US176 a few miles outside of downtown Saluda. The GPS location is: 35.23488, -82.39313.
The hike: The hike leaves the parking lot on a gravel road beyond the gate. There is a kiosk with park information. The road will ascend brief to the top of a small rise, and then head down and to the right into a switchback. After the switchback, the trail splits. Stay to the left and follow it to the boardwalk and steps, leading to the observation deck. The deck is close to the falls, and above them slightly. Due to the angle, the top of the falls is hidden by rhodos. There is a small trail network that loops around if you take the other branch at the split.
