Hike Directions: You’re going to have to hike Bonas Defeat to get to it and you will have to get past Grandmas Kitchen Falls as well. I headed up the sloping face of Grandmas Kitchen Falls and hopped the creek at the top. It looked to be the easiest way and it kept me out of the woods. You will wade in front of Talus Cave Falls and pass above Grandmas Pantry Falls along the way. You will also have to navigate an area of the gorge known as the ‘conundrum’. Bonas Defeat Falls is the most amazing of all the falls on this hike. The setting is tremendous with the falls coming through a cleft in the rock. Across the pool from the river right viewing area is the towering Bonas Defeat Cliff. To get down to the viewing area you pass through a triangular opening in the rocks above before passing through a narrow opening to the base. There is a cave between the entrance to this lower area and the falls. An overhanging rock covers the river right side of the area. I took my pictures from under that overhang.
